Getting Started as a Label

Who Can Upload? If you are a record label owner or authorised distributor, you can upload music directly to Toolbox Digital Shop. What You’ll Need Before uploading, make sure you have: - Final mastered audio files (WAV format preferred) - Artwork (1024 x 1024px, square) - Track metadata (artist, title, genre, BPM, key, release date) - Label name and catalogue number - Full writer and publisher details for your music

Creating Your Label Account

How to Register - Go to the label registration page: https://labelmanager.toolboxdigitalshop.com/user/register - Register your label details and submit Approval Process - Accounts are reviewed before activation - You’ll receive confirmation once approved via email.

Uploading a New Release

Step-by-Step Upload Guide - Log into your FTP software and upload the mastered WAV (44.1 kHz, 16-bit, stereo) file of your track. There must be no spaces or gaps in the filename. Audio Requirements

Accepted Formats - WAV (44.1 kHz, 16-bit, stereo) - Do not upload MP3, the site will process this automatically for you from the WAV Audio Guidelines - Must be fully mastered - No clipping or distortion - Correct track start/end (no long silence)

Artwork Guidelines

Requirements - Size: 1024x1024px - Format: JPG or PNG - Must be square - No pixelation or stretching Content Rules - No copyrighted images without permission - No offensive or inappropriate content - Must include correct artist/label branding

Editing or Updating a Release

Can I Make Changes After Upload? - Yes, but please contact support after you have edited so we can check the release. - We will need to approve the change and add it back to the pre-orders section To Edit: - Go to Tracks then Manage Tracks - Select your release - Click Edit - Make changes - Click Submit

Payments & Royalties

How You Get Paid - Payments are made via Bank Transfer, Wise & PayPal Payment Schedule - You will receive a sales statement at the start of each quarter (1st January, 1st April, 1st July & 1st October) via email. Please allow for slight delays due to bank holidays. - Once you receive your statement please email an invoice back to us and your payment will be processed within 30 days of receipt. Common Issues & Fixes

Upload Fails - Check file size and format - Ensure stable internet connection Artwork Rejected - Check resolution (must be 1024x1024px) - Remove watermarks or poor-quality images Partial Audio Uploaded To Track - Ensure the full audio file has uploaded to the FTP before adding the track details via the Label Manager. Release Not Approved - Review feedback from Toolbox team - Fix issues and resubmit

How do I update Artist & Label Artwork / Social Links?

We can display your label logo or artist profile shot on the relevant page on the store as well as social media links. To send the images & information to us please use the links below: Label Information: https://www.toolboxdigitalshop.com/update-label-information.html Artist Information: https://www.toolboxdigitalshop.com/submit-update-artist-information.html Once submitted the pages will be updated within 48 hours.

How to remove a track from sale

Please edit the track in the label manager and change the Track Code to: DELETE and click Submit Once this is done please raise a support ticket via the form below and we will arrange for the takerdown: https://www.toolboxdigitalshop.com/contact-us.html

Chart Manipulation

We closely monitor the sales on Toolbox Digital and look for patterns in customer purchasing activity. If we find evidence of people buying their own releases to manipulate the chart positions of their music then the sales are deleted and no refunds are given. If the activity continues then we reserve the right to delete the release completely from the store and no royalty will be due.
